Stoll Trailers Inc.

Our Story

Nestled near the historic city of Abbeville, South Carolina, Stoll Trailers, Inc. has been building more than just trailers since 1982. We’ve been building a legacy of quality, reliability, and lasting relationships, rooted in American craftsmanship and a deep commitment to our customers. Our story began over 50 years ago when our founder, Billy Stoll Jr., moved to South Carolina from Virginia. Billy’s father was a welder – a “blacksmith” in those days – and he passed down the essential skill of welding to his sons. This hands-on expertise became the foundation for Stoll Trailers. Billy saw a crucial need in the South for high-quality, customizable trailers, as most were manufactured far away in Texas. So, we set out to change that, initially focusing on cattle and flatbed equipment trailers. We quickly earned a solid reputation for providing quality trailers at a reasonable price.

At Stoll Trailers, we believe in a culture of family and strong relationships. As Billy Stoll puts it, “What energizes me in the morning to be here is to meet employees and the relationships I have with them, and then meet customers. I enjoy meeting people.” This spirit is echoed by Billy’s son, Brad Stoll, who now oversees the day-to-day operations. “It’s a pleasure to get up every morning to come to work to be with great employees,” says Brad. “We work together… to continue building relationships and to provide a great product.”

Our team members are the heart of Stoll Trailers, with many having been with us for decades. This collective dedication ensures that every trailer is built to the highest standard, designed to last and perform for years to come.

For us, customer service is paramount. We don’t just see customers as users of our product; we see them as friends. “We try our very best to get parts to people when they need it, answer technical questions, and just generally overall try to do the best we can to help the customers that call, ” explains Scott from Sales. The passion for our work extends beyond the build itself. It’s truly rewarding, as one team member shared, “It’s really cool to be hours and miles away from home and see one of our trailers that could be 10 to 20 years old and still know that I did that and had a part in that. To see them out working and lasting is important and makes me feel good.”

Brad sums it up best: “At Stoll Trailers, we truly value our customers… We’ve made many relationships through the years and consider a lot of these guys great family friends. We try to provide a high-quality product, at a fair price, with great customer service, taking care of them in the long run.”

This is our story – a story of American craftsmanship, lasting relationships, and a deep-rooted commitment to serving you.
